Finally, I’ve got some time to write about my trip to Copenhagen. There’re so many emotions and experiences that I hardly imagine how to fit it in the post.

У меня наконец-то появилось время написать про поездку в Копенгаген) На самом деле, ооочень много впечатлений и эмоций, даже не знаю, как это все уместить в один пост.

As soon as I arrived in Copenhagen, I immediately experienced all the power of the spring Scandinavian weather :) The temperature was 20 degrees above zero in Prague and everyone was already walking in summer clothing. In Copenhagen it was 8 to 11 degrees, thought it wasn’t any barrier to the Danish to wear shorts either.

Every time I walked in a thousand of sweaters and scarfs I watched people around me strolling in shorts and t-shirts. And THAT was weird! Hoooow?? How the hell are they not being covered with ice??

Приехав в Копенгаген, я сразу ощутила на себе всю мощь весенней скандинавской погоды)) В Праге было +20, и все уже вовсю расхаживали в летней одежде. В Дании всю неделю погода колебалась от +8 до +11. Что не мешало ее жителям тоже расхаживать в летней одежде))

Каждый раз, шагая в пальто, во всех своих свитерах и шарфах, я лицезрела народ, гуляющий в шортах и футболках ))) Ну кааак? Как они умудряются при этом не покрыться льдом? ?

Поселились мы в ну очень миленькой квартирке.

The next day we had an observing walk around the city and I was lucky enough to stay in heels all day long :))

На второй день у нас была обзорная прогулочка по городу, которую мне посчастливилось пройти на каблуках)

The best souvenir shop in Copenhagen!

Denmark is a country of bicycles. Honestly, I haven’t ever seen such few cars on the streets of a capital! However, that’s not so surprising. The government does its best to make people ride bikes instead of cars. To have your car registered in Denmark will cost you about 105 percent of its cost. Maybe that’s why they are such a warmed-over nation after long bike rides :))

Danish government also cares about tourists’ health :) In the center of the city you can find a few places with a bike rental, moreover, absolutely for free! All you need is to throw 20 crowns of a deposit and then you can go wherever you wanna go. The bikes are really cute!

Дания- велосипедная страна. Ни в одной столице я еще не видела так мало машин! Еще бы, ведь власти делают все для того, чтобы датчане поменяли баранку на руль от велосипеда) Зарегистрировать купленную машину обойдется аж в 105 процентов ее стоимости! Да и грех не сесть на велосипед, когда все к этому предполагает. Наверно, поэтому они такие разогретые после крутки педалей))

Датское правительство заботится и о здоровье приезжих) В центре Копенгагена есть несколько точек с арендой велосипедов, причем абсолютно бесплатно! Нужно лишь кинуть залог в 20 крон, и езжай, куда хочешь. Велики очень классные: беленькие и с мониторами)

Guinness museum

We were lucky enough to come across the Guinness museum, where we found a few worthwhile showpieces, however, we were more excited by an additional part of the museum, the scary one! We experienced different voltage of an electric chair, shouting into the well in order to hear our echo and some other fun stuff))

Нам посчастливилось наткнуться на забавный музей Гиннесса, где можно попробовать побить уже чьи-то рекорды)

Happy wall

In the middle of a Royal Square you can find a Happy Wall, where guys create some word from multicolored tablets. I came across some really awesome pieces of this “tablet” calligraphy art on Instagram! Our little tiny project named LOVE :)

Посреди королевской площади стоит так называемая Happy wall, где ребята составляют разные слова из разноцветных табличек. В инстаграме я наткнулась прямо-таки на шедевры

«табличной» каллиграфии) Наш скромный проект под названием ЛОВЭ)

Tivoli Park

Travelling to Copenhagen without visiting a park Tivoli would be a crime. And being in Tivoli without tasting a delicious candy floss would be a double crime!

Побывать в Копенгагене и не сходить в парк Тиволи было бы преступлением. А побывать в Тиволи, не купив сахарную вату, было бы двойным преступлением)

Tivoli is one of the oldest theme parks in Europe. They say Walt Disney founded Disneyland inspired by this wonderful Copenhagen amusement park. Oddly enough, but a famous fairy tales author Andersen wasn’t impressed with the park.

Тиволи- один из самых первых парков развлечений в Европе. Говорят, Уолт Дисней основал Диснейленд, вдохновившись именно этим Копенгагенским чудо-парком аттракционов. Как ни странно, но у знаменитого сказочника Андерсона Тиволи не вызывал симпатии.

It’s hard to find such a great amount of tulips anywhere else!

Такое количество и разнообразие тюльпанов сложно где-либо встретить!

There are also some young bands and amateur ensembles performing in the park. And, to be frank, you would hardly hear such a great amount of notes missing neither :)

В парке выступают молодые группы и любительские ансамбли. Честно говоря, столько непопаданий в ноты вы тоже вряд ли где-либо услышите)))

Here you can also find an inimitable hotel Nimb, the most beautiful and expensive hotel in Denmark. The hotel has only 17 rooms, and the price per night comes to three thousand euros.

Тут же находится неподражаемый отель Нимб- самый красивый и самый дорогой в Дании. В отеле всего 17 номеров, а цена за одну ночь доходит до трех тысяч евро.

Carlsberg Factory

One day we went to the Carlsberg factory. Well, I cannot say that the tour was any special and memorable one, but at least we had two glasses of beer included in the ticket :)

I absolutely loved the bar with different kinds of beer smells from licorice to banana. I love exhibits like that which I can smell or taste.

В один из дней мы сходили на завод Карлсберг. Ну, не могу сказать, что экскурсия была какой-то особенной и запоминающейся, зато в цену билета входили два бокала пива)

Очень понравилась стойка с запахами разных сортов пива- от лакричного до бананового. Люблю я именно такие экспонаты, которые можно понюхать и попробовать)

Christiania

Moving on to some more interesting stuff! Christiania is of the most three popular attractions of Copenhagen. This place is a town with its own laws, own post service and even kindergartens. Here lives about a thousand of people, a third of which has kind of a foul appearance.

The town promotes itself as an "organic" commune, leading a healthy lifestyle and which is rewarded with a freedom of expression. Many of the buildings there are really amazingly and unusually painted and we met some creatively looking peepz on our way, but moving away from all this "tinsel", it appeared to me as a hellhole with forgotten notions of sanitary conditions. I would never eat anything there for sure :)

Теперь к более интересному. В тройку самых популярных достопримечательностей Копенгагена попадает свободный город Христиания. Это место со своими законами, своей почтой и даже детскими садами. Здесь живет около тысячи человек, треть из которых- довольно непотребного вида)

Город пропагандирует себя как «ограническую» комунну, ведущую здоровый образ жизни и награжденную свободой самовыражения. Многие здания там действительно красиво и необычно расписаны, на пути попадался с виду креативный народ, но, отстранившись от всей этой «мишуры», лично я увидела в этом поселении обычный «бичарник» с позабытыми понятиями о санитарных условиях. Кушать я бы там точно не стала)

A few interesting facts

· It is not allowed to take pics in Christiania- you might be beaten for that ;)
· Residents of the community eventually got a permission from the city authorities to use soft drugs: almost in every corner of the main street you can grab some weed.
· There is an absolute ban on cars in the town.
· A flag of Christiania has-three yellow circles on a red background, which mean three points of the i in the name of the city.

Несколько интересных фактов:

· Фотографировать в Христиании запрещено- за это, говорят, можно и отхватить)
· Жители общины добились от властей города разрешения на легкие наркотики: буквально на каждом углу центральной улицы можно раздобыться травкой)
· В городе абсолютный запрет на автомобильное движение.
· Флаг христиании незамысловат- три желтых круга на красном фоне означают три точки над i в названии города.

Church of Our Savior

There is an urban legend saying that the architect of the Saviour Church jumped off its spire the moment he realized that the spiral goes counterclockwise. And could we not climb on this tower ? Well, no way! At first it all appeared harmless: just ordinary and wide enough staircases indoors. When they became three times narrower- that was already scaring, but when we climbed to the very spire under that strong windstorm I realized that it was time to get out of there! There are practically no pics, cause I just couldn’t unstuck from the wall and was afraid to be carried away by the wind :))) Moreover, all my face was covered with hair)

The further- the worse. I went down a thousand times slower stiffened in fear and thoughts that my fractured body would be found in that dark abyss :)))

Conclusion: the view from the top wasn’t worth my shaky legs and my damaged hairstyle.

Copenhagen from the bottom is much prettier and nicer.

Существует городская легенда, якобы архитектор Спасской церкви cбросился с ее шпиля, когда до него дошло, что спираль идет против часовой стрелки. А как мы могли не полезть на эту башню? Ну никак! Сначала было все очень даже безобидно: широкие лестницы в закрытом помещении. Когда они сузились в три раза, стало уже страшнее, а когда мы полезли по самому шпилю под офигенным ветрюгой, я поняла, что пора отсюда сматывать) Фоток практически нет, потому что я боялась отлипнуть от стены и быть унесенной ветром))) К тому же, все лицо у меня было залеплено волосами)

Спускалась я в тысячу раз медленнее, окоченевшая от страха и мыслей, что мое переломанное тело найдут вон в той темной бездне )))

Вывод: видок сверху не стоил моих трясущихся под конец ног и испорченой прически.

Копенгаген снизу намного красивее и приятнее.

Smørrebrød

Before leaving for Denmark I looked a period of a Ukrainian program about Copenhagen, after which I was obsessed with an idea to find the same restaurant with 300 different kinds of Danish sandwiches. 300 different Smørrebrøds were waiting for me on one of the streets of Copenhagen. I must say, I ignored a negative review from the hostess about this national dish and rushed towards my sandwiches. My dear friends, that was a mistake. Let me ruin a flawless reputation of that tourist point.

So, we’re finally standing in front of the sandwiches’ kingdom where we see just 2,yep, TWO rows of dishes instead of three thousand ones! No menu, no prices. Wanna know the price? Just ask about every sandwich, man! Well, we sat down at a table and began to wait for our 2 sandwiches just to taste this famous dish. Here comes the waitress saying that one dish can be eaten by only one person. By hook or by crook have we defended all four sets of dishes and were awarded with a look of verjuice from a madam, who went on to publicize prices of sandwiches to too curious customers . So, the culmination: a shit we have never ever tasted :)) That was the most expensive sandwich in whole my life with the cheapest caviar, can you imagine that?

Перед отъездом в Данию я посмотрела выпуск программы «Oрел и решка» про Копенгаген, после чего была одержима идеей найти тот самый ресторан с 300-ми видами датских бутербродов. 300 самых разных смёрребрёдов ждали меня на одной из улочек Копенгагена. Должна сказать, я пренебрегла негативным отзывом ведущей об этом их национальном блюде и мчалась навстречу моим бутербродам. Друзья, это было ошибкой. Настало всемя разнести признанную туристами забегаловку в пух и прах.

Прибегаем мы, наконец, в это королевство бутербродов, где видим вместо сотен видов всего лишь два, да, ребята, ДВА ряда распиаренного блюда. Ни меню, ни ценами мы удостоены не были. Хотите- спрашивайте отдельно про каждый бутерброд. Ну что ж, заказав два бутерброда на пробу, мы сели за столик и принялись ждать. Тут подходит официантка и заявляет, что одно блюдо может есть лишь один человек. Всеми правдами и неправдами мы отстояли все четыре набора посуды, а недовольная мадам окинула нас презренным взглядом и ушла дальше оглашать цены бутеров слишком уж любопытным клиентам. Итак, кульминация: такой гадости мы действительно не пробовали никогда))) Это был самый дорогой бутерброд в моей жизни с самой дешевой икрой! Даже инстаграмить было как-то не комильфо)))

Eurovision Song Contest

Perhaps the most memorable event of this trip was being at the Eurovision Song Contest. That is so cool, getting on the show after years of watching it on TV! Since it is mainly a TV show, everything was directed to the audience behind the screen. For instance, before the main competition we practised chants for several times and were noted when to turn flashlights on and so on. That was so much fun cause I’ve never been to this kind of show! The moment, when people all over the Europe come together and both: a spirit of competition and a spirit of unity flies in the air. Unbelievable feeling, I must say!

Though, there was a sad moment either. I was rather disappointed with people booing when it was announced that Russia reached the final contest. This is a song contest and it has nothing to do with politics, so that kind of a “tolerant” behavior seemed really bitchy to me.

Наверно, самым запоминающимся событием из этой поездки было «Евровидение». Это так круто- попасть на шоу, которое из года в год смотришь по телевизору)
